The singer is currently preparing for the release of third album ARTPOP, and her appearance at the Fountain Studios in Wembley on Sunday evening was just the latest in a furious and frequently bizarre promotional campaign ahead of its release on November 8.
Following an extroverted piece of performance art in Berlin on Friday, Gaga was on the X Factor stage wearing a blonde wig and dressed in flesh coloured lingerie while she strummed the opening chords of promotional single Venus on an acoustic guitar.

Surrounded by a troupe of scantily clad dancers, Gaga worked her way through the first verse of what was originally intended to be the second single from the new LP, before it was dropped in favour of Do What U Want, featuring R. Kelly.
Despite its downgrade, the track was afforded a huge stage on Sunday night, with the singer performing in front of Botticelli’s The Birth Of Venus – a theme that has been recurrent of late.
Indeed, Gaga had previously stepped out wearing a Boticelli print dress on Saturday, days after unveiling the artwork for Venus, also inspired by the iconic piece of renaissance art.

On Sunday, the singer’s flesh coloured bra came decorated with sea shells that were ripped off long before the track reached its one and only chorus.
The tone changed somewhat as the song segued into Do What U Want, prompting the dancers to exit the stage, leaving Gaga alone behind her piano.
Her performance would end with her on top of it, where she was joined by host Dermot O’Leary as the audience provided rapturous applause.

The singer also addressed her spat with judge Sharon Osbourne, which dates back to 2012, when Sharon’s daughter Kelly suggested she was attempting to cover up a pregnancy at the Grammy Awards.
'We hung out at G.A.Y last night!' she squealed, before jumping down from the piano and embracing the fiery judge.
Venus will be available to download from Sunday night.
