Butter wouldn't melt: Miley Cyrus posts a pre-twerk elementary school photo on Twitter

It’s been a transitional year for Miley Cyrus as she continues to sever all ties with her wholesome past as Disney poster girl Hannah Montana.
And with that year slowly drawing to a close the 20-year-old singer appeared to be in a reflective mood on Monday when she tweeted a picture of herself as a child for the benefit of her 15,000,000 followers.
The black and white shot shows an infant Miley cheerfully smiling in a year book photo beneath which her real name, Destiny Cyrus, is legible.

That name derived from her parents rather prescient belief that she would go on to achieve great things – long before she auditioned for the role that launched her career.

 It’s likely that Miley’s shot was taken at Heritage Elementary School in Nashville suburb Franklin – her childhood home before relocating to Los Angeles.

The picture of innocence is in stark contrast to shots of the twerk obsessed singer’s notorious performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Indeed, Miley is unearthing her Disney roots as she attempts to establish herself as a credible recording artist courtesy of her new, R&B infused album Bangerz.
Her behaviour has also been reaising more than one eyebrow of late, with the singer's latest outing coming at  1 Oak nightclub in New York  - where she partied with Lindsay Lohan.
A source told RadarOnline: ‘Lindsay Lohan was at a nearby table and came running over to Miley’s table. The girls started giggling and whispering.

'They made several trips to the bathroom together and then left out a back exit, so they wouldn’t be spotted by the paparazzi.’

While Lindsay, 27 and Miley didn’t arrive together, Miley visited the club with friends including Magic Johnson’s 20-year-old son Earvin Johnson III, known as E.J. 
The eye-witness added: ‘Miley and E.J. were at 1 Oak… Miley was drinking alcohol in the club.’
She and E.J. posed for a photograph with their pal Andrew Warren, who promptly posted it to his Instagram page with the caption ‘Insane crew at oak @ej_antoinette @mileycyrus #clique’.

Andrew uploaded the picture from the club on the 27th October, indicating the group were most likely there in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Miley and her group and Lindsay were all partying in the VIP room of the New York hotspot.

While it has been claimed that underage Miley was drinking alcohol, Lindsay, who finished her latest court-mandated 90-day treatment at Cliffside Malibu Rehab Center on July 30, is believed to still be sober.

Her father Michael Lohan added: 'She has been on the straight and narrow since she’s been out. If she wasn’t, I would know.'
